We fund abortions for Tennesseans.
Abortion laws have made it increasingly difficult for Tennesseans who do not wish to be pregnant and need to travel to another state for abortion care. This disproportionally affects people with lower incomes. We can help by funding the abortion procedure and providing support with confidentiality and no judgment.
How does our abortion funding work?
Step 1
Make an appointment with the clinic where you plan to have the procedure.
Need help locating a clinic? Start here.
Step 2
Then call or text us and we'll get back to you within 48 hours to discuss funding eligibility.
Step 3
We will send the funds directly to the clinic where you’ll be receiving care.
Do you live in Tennessee and need help funding an abortion?
Our support line is encrypted and completely confidential. We’re here to give you non-judgmental support and assistance however we can.
It is against the law in Tennessee for any adult to intentionally provide assistance to a minor in obtaining an abortion, even if the abortion can be legally performed in another state, without the prior written and notarized consent of that minor’s parent or legal guardian.

Your Impact
Your donations are crucial to meeting the increasing needs of our clients.
In 2023, your total support of $133,408 helped us fund 373 callers at 28 different clinics
Small donations go a long way
Over 65% of our client support funds come from individual donations.
Recurring donations create stability
Supporting abortion access in Tennessee with as little $10 monthly helps every client.
You can also donate gift cards*
Since abortion is not legal in Tennessee, clients need lodging, travel, and childcare.
*While we are not a practical support organization, we occasionally have clients facing extreme need and it is helpful to have gift cards on hand to send to patients when the need arises.
Note: Your donation may go through our fiscal sponsor, Holler Health Justice. You may see that name on your receipt.
If you would like to send a check, please contact us at outreach@mountainaccessbrigade.org for mailing information.

About Us
With compassion and without judgment
We are an all-volunteer group of abortion doulas based in Tennessee who are passionate about helping others receive care. A doula is a non-medical professional trained to provide support for people during a major medical experience, including assisting them through miscarriage or abortion.
Originally founded in 2016 as the Knoxville Abortion Doula Collective, we transformed in 2020 into Mountain Access Brigade to better serve the increasing need for financial support across the state. We use our secure support line to help clients navigate decision-making, appointment logistics, and other difficulties.
Note: While our support line is volunteer-staffed, we do not have the capacity to coordinate additional volunteers at this time. We will provide updates on Instagram when we have volunteer needs.
